Perch Fishing : Back on the bank!
Damn it seems like ages, but for the next three days i will be Perch fishing the Medway! Well half a day each from tomorrow through till Sunday. I love the night before, all the tackle gets a fresh sort through and the rods get prepared. Man what a great feeling!
I’ll be sure to try and post the results of each day either on here or the forum www.perchforum.co.uk
Has anyone else been on the bank since the new year and caught any nice Pike, Perch or Chub? If so join up to the forum and let us know - what when and where you’ve caught and discuss techniques and baits etc. It’ll be good to have you on board!
Tight lines for 2009

Hi, I too wished there was more info on the medway as it never seems to reach the angling press, although got a rare mention in last weeks angling times.
In the first week of december i fished between the two bridges in maidstone town centre to lure a 11LB pike on a herring dead bait ledgered 2 rods out. This was caught when both match fisherman either side of me were having a total blank.

Hi there mate, what part of the medway are you on? Live a stones throw away from a particular bit of the pas water and wondering if you were near there?]
Cheers

I fish the stretches along from Tonbridge to East Peckham. Is PAS penshurst? Because i was looking at that club the other day and thinking of joining this year. Any info would be great.
Thanks,

Hi Steve,
I’ve had quite a few on lures, the end of last season i was out on the rubber kopyto lures more often than not and took quite a few on these. They were probably my number one catcher, and colour wise the white ones produced the most fish. Take a look at http://www.agmdiscountfishing.co.uk/ridge-tail-shad-white-8pcs-p-460.html and great prices too! Oh and chub seem to have a right thing about them!
Best of luck! and hey sign up on the forum and chat to a few of us there.
Thanks,
mark

just to let you know i went to the river today first session of the season and was absolutely dreading a blank after 3 hours and no fish so i checked through my lure bag for something that could be fun just to watch working (also was the first time using my new abu silvermax setup) so i clipped on a spinnerbait i had doubted would ever catch and low and behold a fiesty summer pike about 4/5 lb and god it was fun
will be getting some of those shads and trying them next
