Still doesn’t seem to have improved in the usual areas.  Water still chocolate brown and unfortunately another blank was achieved.  Hopefully the rain will hold off for a while now and the river can recover a little.  Didn’t even see a strike or a pike this weekend.  Very unusual for the areas we were trying!  Oh well i suppose its time to carry on lure making until things improve.

    can anyone tell me what line and size hook i should be useing for perch as im being told many diffrent things.i.e.i should be useing a 3lb line and a siz 10 hook when useing lobworms.most of the time is fish my local river i mostly end up snapping off my rig,jim london s.

    I am going to try for pike on the Medway between Christmas and new year.
    I thought of going to a spot called the shallows, near tonbridge with some deadbaits.

    Any advice ?.

    some big pike to be found at the shallows

    try flood barrier to for some real monster pike live bait fishes best by a country mile 15 ins off bottom trotted down margins
