Perch Fishing : Tried the grubs!
So I purchased some little 2″ white grubs and 4g jig heads last week, they were delivered quite promptly on saturday morning. Many thanks to Ebay for the grubs and the Softbaitshop for the bargain jig heads!!!
Last night i thought lets go try them out. Headed down to my local perching hotspot and cast it in, let it sink and started bumping it along the bottom. First retrieve resulted in no action, thought i’d try the same again and slow it down a tad – this time i received tiny pulls but no positive take was achieved. Next cast all hell broke loose when lifting out to recast 3 perch all went for it at the same time! It was as if this tiny grub had really wound them up, unfortunately the competition was too vast and none of these fish managed to take the grub.
The next 30 mins was dead even after trying spinners it was not to be. I thought one more try on the magic orange headed grub and low and behold i managed to land my first perch to a grub! 
Happy days! After this fish the action was dead for the following 30 minutes so i decided to call it a night . I’ll definately give these another go though hopefully conditions will be a little more on my side.
